Established in 2017, we, the NOA group, stand at the forefront of merging nanotechnology into optoelectronic devices, emphasizing both industrial relevance and innovation. We leverage INL's advanced nanofabrication processes and engage in international collaborations, concentrating on the development of ultramodern, industry-applicable devices. Our core strengths include bottom-up nanofabrication and the characterization of optoelectronic materials. With a sharp focus on high technology readiness level applications, we collaborate closely with industry, introducing new technologies and remaining attuned to market needs while training the next generation of researchers and creating fundamental know-how.
In line with our overarching goals, we are dedicated to advancing nanotechnology-based optoelectronic device concepts with significant industrial relevance and innovation potential. We explore nanofabrication concepts tailored for industrial applications, striving to enhance the performance of optoelectronic devices. Simultaneously, we identify limitations in existing devices, actively seeking solutions and novel materials, all while maintaining a strong emphasis on industrial applications and innovation potential.
Our strategic approach involves becoming fully proficient in prototyping and transforming technology concepts into real-life devices. This commitment materializes in the development of devices for sensors, energy harvesting, and IoT applications, as well as the strategic entry into building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). Additionally, we actively cultivate extensive expertise in large-area nanofabrication techniques, positioning ourselves as an attractive collaborator for industrial partners. This holistic strategy underscores our dedication not only to conceiving groundbreaking ideas but also to translating them into practical and scalable solutions through collaboration with international partners, thereby fostering high innovation potential.
