D. F. Carvalho is currently PhD candidate in Physics Engineering at University of Aveiro developing his work at i3N (Institute for Nanostructures, Nanomodelling and Nanofabrication) and at the NOA research group at INL (International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory).
His research centers on plasmonic interactions in semiconductors, with a focus on the development of perovskite solar cells, exploring the incorporation of metallic nanostructures with tunable properties in its architecture, capable of increasing the optical and electrical performance.
He is experienced in general nanofabrication processes by physical and chemical approaches. He is also skilled in general characterization techniques, such as XRD, TEM, SEM/EDS, PL and Raman spectroscopy, as well as electrical characterization.
