Vítor Lopes is a Postdoctoral Researcher working on the Salomé Research Group at INL.
His research and work activities are focused on the PRR-NGS agenda project “Batteries as the key elements in Virtual Power Plants (VPP)”, which consists of establishing a VPP that includes several distributed renewable energy assets together with energy storage systems. His current research also focuses on solar cell development and battery applications. He is actually a Member of the Technical Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization CTE21 – Baterias e Acumuladores.
In 2022, Vítor finished the Doctoral Program of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minho. He has a background in fabrication technologies, metal processing, and mechanical project.
Vítor also holds a Guest Assistant Professorship at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University of Minho.
