2025-08-28: NOA/Salomé Group at ECOSS 38 – Showcasing Advances in Solar Cells and Fire-Resistant Materials

The NOA/Salomé Research Group at INL – International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory participated in the 38th European Conference on Surface Science (ECOSS 38), a prestigious international meeting dedicated to the latest developments in surface and interface science.

Two of our researchers were selected to present their work:

Jennifer P. Teixeira delivered an oral presentation on “Rear interface strategies for ultrathin CIGS solar cells: light management”, highlighting new approaches to enhance efficiency in next-generation thin-film photovoltaics.
Ricardo M. L. Silva presented “Dielectric UV filters for protection of fire-proof glass based on intumescent layers”, showing how innovative coatings can extend the durability and safety of advanced building materials.
These contributions demonstrate the group’s multidisciplinary expertise, spanning from renewable energy technologies to materials for safety and sustainability, and reinforce our commitment to developing innovative solutions to address key scientific and societal challenges.
