Xavier Pinheiro, PhD researcher at the NOA/Salomé Research Group of INL – International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, was invited to present a 5-minute pitch on his doctoral work at the Jornadas CICECO – Aveiro Institute of Materials 2025, held on October 9 in Ílhavo, Aveiro.
His presentation, titled “Tuneable and Versatile Strategy to Colour Flexible CIGS Solar Cells for Integrated Photovoltaic Applications,” earned an Honourable Mention, recognizing the quality and innovation of his research.
The study, co-authored by X.L. Pinheiro, António J. N. Oliveira, André Violas, Enzo Ribeiro, Jennifer Passos Teixeira, José Fernandes, Mauro Costa, P. A. Fernandes, Maria Rute Ferreira André, and Pedro Salomé, focuses on developing colour-tuneable, flexible solar cells that integrate seamlessly into architectural and product designs while maintaining high efficiency and mechanical stability.
